Game Room - F.W. Hastings House-Old Consulate Inn

Game Room
The aroma of fresh roast coffee announces breakfast, which is served in the formal dining room amidst unobstructed views of the harbor. The banquet-style breakfast includes juice, varied fruit dishes, cereal, egg dish, cooked breakfast meats such as European sausage or crab cakes, cheese platters, potatoes or vegetable, hot biscuits, jams, spreads and a cordial topped breakfast cake.

Breakfast-time is filled with conversation and good humor. It is the time to hear stories of the history of Port Townsend and the F.W. Hastings House and to enlist the innkeepers help in planning a day of sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, antiqueing or shopping.

The Inn is the perfect base for day trips to the Olympic Peninsula, the San Juan Islands, Seattle or Victoria. It is a leisurely walk to town, fine restaurants, theaters, galleries, shops, ferry landing and marina. There is a tennis court at the park across the street.

Then again, you may choose a relaxing soak in the hot tub, a leisurely stroll in the gardens and a good book and glass of wine by the fireside.

Refreshments are offered in the afternoon, and include teas, coffee, cocoa and fresh baked cookies still warm from the oven. Summertime sees the inclusion of iced teas and lemonade.

Retiring for the night, you'll find big comfortable robes, bubble bath for the tub, and a sweet surprise on the pillow of your turned down bed.
